Job description
We are looking for a Senior Manager or “Head of” Brand & Propositions to work for this leading UK retailer on their extensive homewares division.
The focus of this role is on developing and managing the home section brands and propositions, leading a team and partnering with a broad cross-section of different teams across the wider business to implement brand strategy.
- This is a 6 month freelance contract - Inside IR35
- This role is a hybrid role - 2 days onsite (Hertfordshire/London)
- This is a full-time role, however may consider a 4 day a week contract.
The Role
Developing enduring brands & brand strategic plans to drive growth in the long and short-term
Managing the brands across the 6Ps and engaging and influencing colleagues to follow your plans and vision and implement accordingly
Identifying opportunities for growth and building propositions across the 6Ps, working with others to implement and launch to customers
Co-ordinating a total customer team and customer view so there is one single narrative when presenting / to work from
Refining ways of working with your customer (marketing) colleagues where needed and striving for continuous improvement
Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best
Forecasting and managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious
Coaching, supporting and managing a team (including x2 direct reports)
Being a valuable contributor to the wider Brand & Proposition leadership team
Managing Brand development budgets.
The Person
Ideally at least 5 years in a Senior Brand role within a retail or FMCG business
Proposition development and Project management experience
Delivery of major national or international propositions / business change
A passion for delivering a great experience to the customer
An ability to work under pressure and manage both upstream and downstream
Strong interpersonal skills, relationship building
Collaborative with strong influencing skills
Analytical
Commercial sense & business case development
