Abta recruits PR firms in preparation for 2010 celebrations

Abta - The Travel Association has taken on two PR agencies to handle its marketing campaign for 2010.

The body has recruited Siren PR and Digital Drums Travel to assist it with its operations for next year, which will tie in with the celebration of its 60th anniversary.

Managing director of Siren PR Rachel O'Connor said that the firm is "extremely excited" about helping to promote "what is great about the association" over the next year.

"Abta continues to remain as relevant and recognisable to consumers as it's ever been," she noted.

Head of communications for the travel body Casia Zajac remarked the anniversary is a "great opportunity" for it to reconnect with both its members and travel consumers, adding that Siren was chosen due to after giving an impressive response to the brief, while the company has positive experience with using Digital Drums in the past.

Siren PR, which is based in west London, has produced work on behalf of a number of travel and tourism firms, including Canvas Holidays and Guoman Hotels.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19496419-ADNFCR
