Adidas launches campaign to promote Chelsea shirt

Adidas has teamed up with legendary artist Sir Peter Blake to promote a new football kit, those in design jobs might be interested to hear.

New Media Age (NMA) reports that the Chelsea shirt will be launched alongside a unique collage created by Sir Peter after he spent six weeks at the London club.

The piece focuses on Chelsea's history and has been recreated on the web, where a short film about the artist's experience can be found.

In addition, footy fans that check out the campaign will be directed to Twitter and Facebook, the latter of which provides the chance for them to enter a competition and win a limited edition version of the team's shirt.

"The art will also appear in-store at the Chelsea Megastore and in selected Adidas shops around the UK," NMA added.

The campaign could be particularly appropriate at the current time, given the club's standing in the Barclays Premier League. They are in first place, one point ahead of Manchester United.
