Asos turns to Twitter for digital agency hunt

Asos has used Twitter to launch its search for a marketing agency to oversee its digital operations.

According to Brand Republic, ecommerce director for the online fashion retailer James Hart made a post on the social networking site asking for his followers to recommend firms.

In his Tweet, Mr Hart explained that he is looking for a marketing jobs provider that can create "something special" for his company, which is one of the biggest web fashion outlets in the UK.

The news source said that Asos's arrangement with Mother is unlikely to be affected by the move.

It entered an arrangement with the advertising agency last month, giving it control over its online, outdoor and television marketing, which was previously overseen by an in-house team.

In addition to Asos, Mother - which has an office in east London - has produced work for Stella Artois and Coca-Cola, as well as the recently-launched television advert for Powerade that features Wayne Rooney.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19628883-ADNFCR
