BLM creates Domino's Facebook app

Digital creative agency BLM Quantum has created a new social media application as part of Domino's Pizza's new online marketing initiative.

The firm has produced a special Facebook tool for the takeaway chain, which aims to attract repeat customers with special offers and prizes.

Known as Superfans, it gives people who get the most fans to sign up to the Facebook page prizes and sends out promotional codes that can be redeemed when placing an order.

Marketing director at Domino's in the UK and Ireland Robin Auld said that the aim is to reward the company's regular customers.

"Facebook is central to our social media strategy and this application will enable us to leverage the importance of brand advocates in growing our customer base," he added.

In its quarterly trading update posted earlier this month, Domino's revealed it had a record week for online sales over the seven days beginning October 26th 2009, with over a third of all orders taken via the web.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19591455-ADNFCR
