Cadbury begins digital Creme Egg promotion

11 Jan
Cadbury has launched a series of online games as part of a marketing campaign promoting its Creme Egg.

Developed by CMW and PHD, the initiative is being used to mark the return of 'Creme Egg season', and will also feature online banner ads, as well as iPhone and augmented reality applications, Brand Republic reports.

The games will be available on the website, which was launched in January 2008 by Publicis Groupe as part of a move to highlight the limited availability of the chocolate product, which is only on sale until Easter.

One, 'your country needs goo', challenges users to find Creme Eggs that have been hidden on sites such as MSN, Yahoo! and YouTube, while other games will also be available on social network sites such as Facebook.

CMW, which is based in west London, picked up a number of awards for its work with the Creme Egg brand in 2007 and said sale of the product reached a record high last year.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19548993-ADNFCR
