CHI wins Polo marketing account

Creative agency CHI & Partners has won the advertising account for Nestle's Polo mints range of products.

It takes over from previous holder of the contract JWT and secured the brief after winning a pitching process that also featured an unnamed number of other agencies, Campaign reports.

JWT last ran an advertising campaign for Polos in 2008 in order to promote the Xstra product and the move indicates a change in Nestle's strategy for the brand.

It has not spent any significant amount of its marketing budget on Polos for seven years, with a television campaign promoting the confectionary last appearing in 2003.

Despite losing the Polos account, JWT - which came up with the "the mint with a hole" slogan, will continue to work on other Nestle products, such as KitKat and Smarties.

Nestle joins a number of high-profile clients handled by CHI, including British Gas, Argos, Lexus and TalkTalk.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19582997-ADNFCR
