Churchill signs up two celebrities for latest ads

24 Dec
Boxer Ricky Hatton and skier Eddie the Eagle are set to feature in a new marketing campaign for insurance firm Churchill.

The pair are the latest celebrities to sign up to be in television advertisements being run by the RBS-owned company, Marketing magazine reports.

Eddie the Eagle appears in the first spot of the new campaign, which sees Churchill's dog using a ski lift to rescue him from a tree in a ski resort in order to promote the firm's 50 per cent discount on home insurance.

The ad can currently be seen on the brand's YouTube page and will launch on television on Boxing Day.

Earlier in the year, television presenters Roy Walker, Melanie Sykes and Rolf Harris featured in a series of spots alongside Churchill's computer-generated mascot.

The firm also recently launched a television advert promoting its offer of free breakdown cover with a car insurance policy, which featured the dog doing a sponsored parachute jump.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19529689-ADNFCR
