Coca-Cola announces marketing restructuring

28 Apr
People seeking marketing jobs might be interested in news that Coca-Cola has announced a restructuring that will see its president for Great Britain, Sanjay Guha, take on a new role.

The chief will now assume the responsibilities of marketing and Olympics director for north-west Europe and Nordic territories.

As well as Great Britain, this includes countries such as France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden.

The marketing strategy behind Coca-Cola's sponsorship role at the London 2012 Olympics will comprise part of the unit's brief.

In addition, the brand announced the departure of Cathryn Sleight as marketing director as part of the restructuring process.

Elsewhere in marketing jobs news, one expert recently claimed that many brands should consider affiliate marketing strategies.

Andrew McCormick, in a Marketing magazine piece, suggested that retailers in particular could take advantage of such promotions, which use remote workers who only get paid once a sale is completed.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19747926-ADNFCR
