COI launches direct marketing review

The Central Office of Information (COI) has launched a review of the agencies it uses to carry out direct and relationship marketing.

It has contacted a number of firms regarding applying for the new roster, which will replace the existing framework that is due to expire this year.

Companies have been given until February 10th to respond, but are being urged to ensure they meet the necessary criteria before they apply.

The existing contracts are worth between £25 million and £30 million and new agencies will be chosen based on their expertise in areas such as direct, email and face-to-face marketing.

"This is a great opportunity to refresh our supplier base," remarked director of direct and relationship marketing at the COI Marc Michaels.

He added that the body "prides itself" on ensuring it can provide "effective and cost-efficient" marketing to government clients.

Last month, the COI announced it had completed an overhaul of the agencies it uses for the creation of merchandise and promotional items.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19553009-ADNFCR
