We have gathered a list of some not to be missed creative events for September 2015 where you can brush up your skills and inspire your creativity. Whether you are working as a freelancer or an in-house creative professional these events can also prove invaluable as networking opportunities.

Reasons To Be Creative

When: 7-9 September

Where: Brighton, UK

Cost:   £££

The event is held annually in the sunny seaside town of Brighton. Reasons is a 3-day conference with a great festival vibe. Every year the very best creative speakers come together to create inspiring sessions aiming to inform, entertain, teach and network. This festival is perfect for artists, designers, coders, and creative minds. One thing not to be missed is their signature Elevator Pitch where both newbies and oldies get 3 minutes to become speakers and wow the crowd. If you are passionate about your craft then this is the event for you. As it says on the tin Reasons To Be Creative will remind you why you got into the business in the first place.


2. Kitching's Concise Letterpress Workshop

When: 11-12 September

Where: Kennington

Cost: £££

This is a two-day course exploring the fundamentals of typography, including in depth looks at the process of typesetting and letterpress printing. Renowned typographer, Alan Kitching teaches in his London workshop and the cost includes all material and lunch.


3. Luxury Packaging and Innovations 2015

When: 16-17 September

Where: Olympia, London

Cost: Registration

Luxury Packaging is the UK's only event for luxury packaging. This year it will be in a new location of London's Olympia. The show will be thriving with the latest innovations, techniques, products and solutions. New features not to be missed this year include: the Great Innovation Debate, Innovation Wall and Brand Innovation programme. There will also be Pimms O'clock for those wondering about the catering. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in all that's new about Packaging this year.


4. Designers Fiesta - Learn, Meet, Party

When: 18th September

Where: Hatfields, London

Cost: ££

Returning for its 6th year, the Designers Fiesta is a celebration of design technology in the world's creative capital. This event is for anyone into design and development and looking to refresh their skills. Designers Fiesta features key speakers and international instructors from print, web, video and new media workflows. You will be sure to discover small tricks of the trade that can help give you that extra edge and save you time in your work. The Designers Fiesta is a great opportunity to network with like-minded peers, gain knowledge from experts, and develop your future in the industry. Expect workshops on a full range from: Design and Illustration, Web, Tablet and Mobile, Production, Motion and 3D.


05. London Design Festival

When: 19-27 September

Where: Across London

An internationally recognised event, the London Design Festival is one of the most important design events of the year. Year on year it has continued to grow with this year staging around 400 events and exhibitions by hundreds of Partner organisations across the design spectrum and from around the world. The weeklong event will celebrate London's newest creative title as the design capital of the world penned by the New York Times. The festival creates a platform for inspirational design initiatives and will be staged across the city from: talks, tours and workshops at the Victoria and Albert Museum to a series of exhibitions in Somerset House and in between these a range of events in museums, shops, showrooms, galleries, museums, warehouses studios, markets and more.


06. The Power of Social - Digital Doughnut Meetup

Where: Far Rockaway, London

When: 29th September

Cost: Free

Digital Doughnut is an online community with useful information for marketers and business leaders. The community is brought together through content, networking and events. They have a great line up of events throughout the year, and due to their ever-growing success they have moved to a bigger venue Far Rockaway. This is a great place to network with talented digital marketers, hear great ideas and socialise in one of the oldest and most established meet-ups communities in London. This meetup will be about
how the power of social is allowing global brands to do some really interesting things. Don't forget to bring business cards to hand out to all the people you will meet. They also have a prize draw at the end of the night.


07. Nicer Tuesdays Art School  

When: 29th September

Cost: £

Nicer Tuesdays is organised by creative publishing platform Its Nice That. They hold monthly events all year where they bring together a collection of speakers for informal but sharply insightful sessions concerning the creative and design world. This month Nicer Tuesdays is to celebrate all things art school-related! They are bringing together four speakers. So far they line-up includes James Hilton, co-founder of creative giant AKQA; Dean Brown, a designer and senior consultant at Fabrica; and Zelda Malan, senior lecturer on the BA Graphic Design course at Kingston University.
