Creative jobs: UK advertising industry 'on the up'

27 Apr
Those seeking creative jobs might be pleased by the suggestion that the UK's advertising industry is set to make a recovery this year.

Eva Berg-Winters, senior manager and new media specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers, claimed that conditions in the sector moving forward will become more favourable for businesses.

She stated: "2010 is going to be a much better year than 2009, but it has of course started from a much lower base."

Ms Berg-Winters went on to add: "While recovery is still very shaky this year, it will be easier than last year."

The remarks may be welcomed by jobseekers who are keen to put their creative skills into practice over the coming months.

According to the most recent Advertising Association (AA) and Warc Expenditure report, the UK advertising industry will make a faster than anticipated recovery this year.

The AA/Warc full-year 2010 forecast has been upgraded from 0.4 per cent growth to 2.3 per cent.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19743718-ADNFCR
