DLKW appointed for new dementia campaign

Delaney Lund Knox Warren (DLKW) has been appointed by the Department of Health for a new advertising campaign which aims to raise awareness of dementia.

The marketing job was handed to the agency after a successful pitch ? organised by the COI - beat a number of competitors, according to Campaign.

A high profile advertising campaign has been launched by DLKW, which includes television, radio, print and web-based material.

It will feature real people who have been diagnosed with dementia in its early forms.

Marketing sector observers may be interested to learn that the campaign's strapline is: "I have dementia - I also have a life."

In addition, the DLKW scheme has also included the launch of a social networking site that allows people with dementia to contact others who have the condition.

Previously, the agency has undertaken marketing drives to campaign about issues related to strokes, plus advertisements for Morrisons featuring Richard Hammond.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19644491-ADNFCR
