EA Sports to conduct PR review

27 Jan
Computer game maker EA Sports is to conduct a review of the PR firms that assist with its operations in the UK, it has emerged.

According to PR Week, the firm, which owns the rights to the Fifa football and Madden NFL games, is considering asking five agencies to pitch for the business.

However, founder and managing director of incumbent organisation Shine Communications Rachel Bell told the news source that she does not think her company will lose the account.

"The relationship couldn’t be in a stronger place. I just think they have got to the point where they're thinking they should be seeing other agencies and doing other things," she stated.

The brief will include the launch of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 - the latest in a series of golf games bearing the name of the beleaguered superstar - and may result in the creation of PR jobs at the winning company.

As well as EA Sports, Shine also counts Vodafone, Cadbury, Evian and Bacardi as its clients.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19581547-ADNFCR
