PR & Communications Recruitment News

David Cameron’s vision of reinventing London’s east end into Europe’s version of silicon valley was brought a step closer with the recent hiring of Hill & Knowlton onto the project.

The agency have won a retained account, for the Trade & Investment’s Tech City Investment Organisation, worth just under six figures.

Big brands who have already committed to investing in the area include Google, Vodafone, Intel and Facebook. Post the 2012 games, some parts of the Olympic Park will also be used as office space for the project.

Caoimhe Buckley, director of marketing comms at UK Trade & Investment, told PR Week: ‘Our ambition is that Tech City attracts digital and creative companies and becomes the digital capital of Europe. We believe H&K can build on the positive progress that has been made to date.’
