In news that may interest anyone seeking creative jobs within a digital remit, ITV has created a social media platform for some of its flagship programmes.

According to a story in Media Week, shows such as This Morning, Coronation Street and Loose Women comprise part of the new online forums, where viewers can engage with one another before and after episodes.

In addition, Demand Media's social media platform will be available to football fans who want to keep up to date with the latest happenings at this summer's 32-team World Cup in South Africa.

Commenting on the developments, Ben Ayers, social media manager at, stated: "Watching TV has always been a social experience and now we are giving This Morning viewers the platform to interact and engage with the programme and each other online."

Those seeking creative jobs in television might be intrigued by the new platform, which arguably highlights the capabilities of an integrated online and offline television viewing experience.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19697565-ADNFCR
