JPR wins Croatia tourism account

PR agency JPR has been chosen by the Croatian Tourist Board to handle its consumer and trade operations in the UK and Ireland.

It was selected following a five-way pitch, PR Week reports, with the agreement running until December 2010.

The account is worth a five-figure sum and Jess Hilliard, co-founder of the firm, welcomed the new business.

"In highlighting the growing choice offered to luxury-seekers through to a more budget-conscious traveller, we will continue to challenge preconceptions about Croatia," the news source quoted her as saying.

She added that the agency will work on building relationships with "niche markets", as well as working to reach the biggest audience possible by also targeting independent travellers.

JPR was set up by Ms Hilliard and Jemima Stiles, who both previously worked for Charisma PR, which handled accounts for the Egyptian State Tourist Office and VisitGuernsey prior to closing on December 31st last year.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19560480-ADNFCR
