Marketing jobs: Innovation is important

People searching for marketing jobs should be aware that a company is rating its video content, innovation and personalisation as big priorities.

In a piece for Marketing Week, Yahoo! chief executive Carol Bartz, was quoted speaking at the search engine's conference in London, saying it is focusing on creating a personalised internet experience for its users.

She noted the organisation wants people to feel at ease when they visit its website and look at the features, such as making a homepage unique to the person visiting.

One of the main aims of the company in the future is to know what individuals will want on their homepage by knowing what they do on the web.

"Yahoo! wants to be able to give you the information you need in a format that you want," she added.

The search engine's main page currently has a line of "favourite" applications running down one side, which people can edit if they have a Yahoo! account.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19749677-ADNFCR
