Maxus picks up CreditExpert account

25 Feb
Creative agency Maxus has won the media planning and buying contract for CreditExpert, the brand owned by consumer data firm Experian.

According to Campaign, the creative jobs provider has won the account after pitching against an undisclosed number of agencies.

The account is estimated to be worth £8 million, as although Experian allocated £2.5 million to CreditExpert for media spending last year, the amount is expected to increase in 2010.

It launched its first television campaign earlier in the month encouraging viewers to visit the CreditExpert website, where they can access their credit report.

Maxus, which is owned by WPP, is based in London and handles contracts for firms including Oakley, Seiko, Fiat and UPS.

Earlier in the month, it won BT's media planning and buying account, which is valued at £75 million.

Commenting on the success, chief executive officer of Maxus Lindsay Weedon said the firm is "delighted" to be working for BT, which she described as "one of the country's largest advertisers".ADNFCR-2176-ID-19637502-ADNFCR
