McCann Erickson Manchester wins FSCS contract

McCann Erickson Manchester has won a contract to design a marketing campaign for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

The creative jobs provider secured the brief following a three-way pitch that was overseen by the Central Office of Information and is now tasked with producing material to raise the profile of the body.

It has become part of a multi-channel strategy that was drawn up for the body by Mindshare, the communications planning agency.

The main focus of McCann Erickson Manchester will be to educate consumers about the work of the FSCS, which the COI has described as "the UK's statutory fund of last resort for customers of authorised financial services firms".

It is able to provide compensation to a consumer if the firm they have done business with is unable - or is not likely to be able - to pay for claims its own behalf.

In addition to working for government departments, McCann Erickson Manchester also produces content for Sainsbury's Banks, Aldi and Wickes, among others.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19617498-ADNFCR
