Men 'to focus on quality clothing this year'

11 Jan
Men are likely to reduce the number of impulse clothing purchases they make this year, the associate editor of one magazine has stated.

Robert Johnston of GQ noted that males will instead be opting to purchase high-quality items of clothing that can stand the test of time.

"The biggest trend ? is for quality and that means investing in a piece that will last you for years," he remarked, adding that "random extravagances are very two years ago".

Commenting on the spring/summer collections for 2010, Mr Johnston remarked that there will be "something for everyone", ranging from lightweight trench coats to denim.

He was commenting following the publication of the magazine's Best Dressed list, which was topped by actor Robert Pattinson.

Daniel Craig, David Beckham, Tom Ford and Dizzee Rascal were also included in the top ten, while the Prince of Wales was included at number 36.

Mr Johnston observed that the wide range of people on the list shows that there are no set rules when it comes to defining style.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19550305-ADNFCR
