MS&L campaign wins PR award

22 Dec
A safety campaign produced by PR agency MS&L has won an accolade at the European Excellence Awards in Vienna.

The work, which was produced for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in order to promote the dangers of asbestos to people working in the construction sector, came top of the health category at the event, which is held to mark achievements in PR.

Titled 'hidden killer', the initiative used the theme of football in order to raise awareness and featured former player Ian Wright.

Steve Coldrick of the government body said the accolade "is a testament to the good working relationship between HSE's communications and asbestos programme teams and MS&L".

As a result of the campaign - the launch of which was covered by online, print and broadcast media - the HSE saw a 100 per cent rise in the number of people calling its Infoline service for help with treating the material safely.

MS&L is part of global communications network MS&L Worldwide. Its specialist areas include technology, public affairs, consumer marketing and healthcare.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19526092-ADNFCR
