PHA Media called in to Portsmouth FC

24 Feb
PR agency PHA Media has been called in to help handle media coverage of Portsmouth FC amid concerns that the club could go into administration.

The club, which is currently facing a winding up order from HM Revenue & Customs and could enter administration if a new buyer is not found, has asked the firm to manage what appears in the press, PR Week reports.

Founder of the PR jobs provider Phil Hall was quoted as saying by the news source that his company will be advising Portsmouth's bosses on their communications strategy.

"We have been asked to make sure that the stories appearing in the media are accurate, because there has been wild speculation in recent weeks, much of which has been false," he stated.

PHA Media specialises in PR relating to fashion, sport, education, leisure and lifestyle.

Prior to setting up the company, Mr Hall was editor of the News of the World and held the position of editor in chief at Hello! magazine.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19634780-ADNFCR
