Phipps PR wins Appletiser account

Phipps PR has been chosen to help reinvigorate Coca-Cola Enterprises' Appletiser brand after winning a three-way pitch.

According to PR Week, the agency has been given the brief of getting customers to reconsider the fizzy drink.

Head of the account at the PR jobs provider Emma Turner told the news source that the campaign will focus on the sales spikes seen in the summer and at Christmas.

"We will emphasise that the drink is 100 per cent fruit juice and counts as part of someone's five a day," she remarked, adding that awareness among much of the public is limited.

It is believed that Lexis PR and incumbent agency Publicasity were the other two firms vying for the account.

Phipps, which is based in London, describes itself as "one of the UK's leading independent consumer PR agencies" and specialises in the food and drink sector.
