We've interviewed our Freelance Champion Lucy Dudley to see what life is like as an Associate Manager. Lucy is Profiles Creative's top biller part of the freelance team and has grown some of the company's top accounts. She first joined Profiles Creative as an intern and her dedication and knowledge has since grown resulting in 4 promotions. She is tenacious, hard working and loves going above and beyond to set new records.

Why did you choose a career in recruitment?

The honest truth is it found me. I started out wanting to work behind the scenes somehow within healthcare to help people, so when I stumbled across this opportunity it seemed to be the perfect fit. I get to achieve my cliche of helping whilst utilising my skills and strengths - chatting is definitely one of them!

Why did you want to be part of the Profiles Creative team?

I started life here at Profiles Creative as an intern, wanting to gain some office experience. Fast forward a few weeks into the programme and I had fallen in love with the company and its people,  I knew that I wanted to be continually a part of it. Everyone at Profiles Creative is genuinely sincere and hard working, it's a place that mirrors my goals and allows me to do it in my own style.

In one sentence describe your role.

You get to work with creative freelancers and the best brands and agencies, everyday is a new challenge!

Why should clients work with Profiles Creative?

We genuinely care about our clients and love what we do. We work hard to make sure that we have the most talented people on our database and find the best roles with exciting brands and agencies.

Tell us about your proudest moment with Profiles Creative.

I am always proud when I achieve a promotion and I have been lucky enough to have had a few! At the moment I am building my own team, so I am very excited about where that will take me.

Tell us an interesting fact about you.

Haha... how about randomly interesting? I was a witness to a strangers wedding!

The funniest thing that has happened in the office?

One of the funniest moments was at our Christmas party when we had to draw our own life drawings of Santa, you can guess where some peoples imaginations led...!

Why do you love your job?

Because no two days are the same, I enjoy being kept on my toes and helping my clients find solutions and fulfilling their recruitment needs.

In your opinion, what is the hardest thing about recruitment?

Recruitment is a hard job, anyone who has made a hire understands how hard it is, so finding the drive to keep going when sometimes the odds are against you can be quite tough.

What are your future goals?

To give my team the training and support they need to be successful and to help them in every way possible to achieve their goals. I'm really excited to see what we can achieve together!

Thanks Lucy - it's great to see what it's like in the office as a freelance recruiter!
