25 Feb
Jean-Philippe Maheu has been appointed as the new worldwide chief executive officer (CEO) of Publicis Modem Worldwide.

He has arrived at the creative jobs provider from Ogivly & Mather, where he held the position of chief digital operator for North America for the past three years.

Mr Maheu will report directly to Richard Pinder, CEO of Publicis Worldwide.

He will be responsible for overseeing the agency network's digital business, which, Mr Pinder said, will be a key focus for the company in the coming years.

"We have made a commitment to derive 30 per cent of revenue from digital communications by 2012," he remarked, adding that Mr Maheu will drive the firm's digital expansion "with flair and creativity".

Publicis Modem has clients across a wide variety of industries, including AOL, Sony, HBO, Subway and Marriott.

It was established in May 2007, replacing Modem Media as Publicis Worldwide's global digital media arm.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19637488-ADNFCR
