Rapier chosen to handle Travelodge digital marketing

Rapier has been selected to oversee digital marketing for hotel chain Travelodge.

The creative agency will be responsible for helping the firm make better use of its website, as well as oversee eCRM and other aspects of its online activity.

It secured the business after pitching against a number of unnamed competitors as part of Travelodge's move to review its creative and marketing operation.

The hotel company is also in the process of assessing its television advertising and organised pitches for the business in November of last year.

According to Campaign Live, agencies involved in the process include Krow, Mother, Doner Cardwell Hawkins and M&C Saatchi.

Travelodge last relaunched its website in May of last year in order to improve functionality and increase the services available to customers.

Rapier's other clients include Virgin Media, Lloyds TSB, B&Q and the Central Office of Information.
