Saatchi & Saatchi X produces stop-smoking virals

Saatchi & Saatchi X has produced a new viral marketing campaign for stop-smoking charity QUIT.

Three animated films have been made by the creative jobs provider, aimed at raising awareness about the effect smoking has on lungs and to promote the charity's helpline.

Creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi X Ant Melder said that the company has opted for "dark humour" after finding that smokers tend to ignore the "lecturing approach".

He explained that the films will "grab [smokers'] attention while still keeping an extremely serious message at the core of the communication".

According to the Drum, the adverts are set to go live tomorrow (February 11th) and will be supported by other forms of marketing, including adverts in pubs and cafes across the UK.
