Seventy Seven PR wins Jersey Tourism account

Jersey Tourism has chosen Seventy Seven PR to oversee a campaign aimed at boosting the profile of the island in the press.

According to PR Week, the agency will operate a press office and run brand-building initiatives on behalf of the island over the next 12 months.

It secured the account, which will also see the firm tasked with getting Jersey into consumer lifestyle and news publications during 2010, following a three-way pitch.

Tourism and marketing director for Jersey David de Carteret was quoted as saying that the company "showed great understanding" of Jersey Tourism's needs during the pitching process.

"We're looking forward to working with it to increase the profile of Jersey among our consumer audience," he was quoted as saying.

Seventy Seven also produces PR work for Nintendo, the RNLI, Hamleys, Spar and the RSPCA.
