Sky begins creative agency search

Sky has begun the search for a creative agency to oversee the advertising account for its Sky Broadband offering.

According to Campaign, the entertainment giant is looking to make an appointment ahead of the launch of a major new marketing campaign that is expected to launch later in 2010.

The firm already uses the services of a number of creative jobs providers - such as AKQA, WCRS and Brothers and Sisters - but is looking for a new firm to help push its internet offering after year-on-year new customer figures were lower in the fourth quarter of 2009.

According to the news source, Sky has recently launched a number of initiatives aimed at attracting customers of its satellite television service to its broadband offering, such as six months of free internet with TV or home phone packages.

Last month, the company used the Premier League game between Arsenal and Manchester United to introduce Sky 3D. It will launch a dedicated channel for 3D broadcasts in April.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19638930-ADNFCR
