T-Mobile appoints new brand and marketing head

Telecommunications firm T-Mobile has welcomed Lynne Ormrod into a marketing job at the top of its brand management department.

Ms Ormrod will take up the role of head of brand and advertising, which is a new position created to help the mobile phone operator develop its integrated marketing strategy after a restructuring of the firm.

Reporting to Lysa Hardy, the manager will replace Sam Taylor, former head of advertising and sponsorship, who has moved on from the company.

T-Mobile's marketing department is now 40 people strong and is expected to bring positive results in the near future.

Ms Hardy explained the reshuffle to Marketing Week: "We wanted to centralise this into one brand team and one advertising team, with the aim of having the T-Mobile brand running consistently through everything we produce."

T-Mobile recently overhauled its website in order to improve customer service facilities on the online portal with a more intuitive design.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19581571-ADNFCR
