TONI&GUY to develop bespoke haircare strategy

09 Apr
In 2010, TONI&GUY may increasingly focus on bespoke haircare services for its customers.

The comments of Jane Stacey, the company's international technical director, may interest anyone on the lookout for jobs in fashion.

In response to a question about emerging techniques in the world of hair styling, she said the businesses aim will be to develop "new colour techniques to give the consumer something new, bespoke and personalised".

The hairdressers could increasingly employ interlacing techniques, where the hair is plaited and a lighter colour than the customer's natural shade is applied.

Such an approach might change the nature of the service for people who visit the company's 402 salons in 41 countries worldwide.

The recent spring-summer 2010 trend report by TONI&GUY highlighted the emergence of mismatched pastel colours as a popular new hairstyle.

This was evident at Giles Deacon's latest collection in Paris, where the hairdressers showcased the kaleidoscope effect on the catwalk, which could inform its future product offering.ADNFCR-2176-ID-19712124-ADNFCR
