WPR secures Red magazine account

Willoughby PR (WPR) had been selected to help raise the profile of women's magazine Red.

According to PR Week, the agency will be responsible for positioning the title as the "smartest women's glossy" through the use of a new PR campaign.

This will focus on promoting Red's two main events that will taking place in 2010 - the Hot Women Awards and the Red Fertility Report.

Head of publicity Annabel Fox will lead the account and Sam Baker, editor of Red, was quoted as saying that the agency "completely 'got' Red".

"We were looking for a PR company that could harness their potential," she stated, adding that WPR has a plan that will see "all aspects" of Red elevated "to the next level.

In addition to Red, WPR has also carried out work for Mothercare, Sharps Bedrooms, the Army, Triton and department store chain TJ Hughes.
