3D Designer - C4D/Vectorworks - 30-35k

Job description My client is an Award-winning, London based experiential events agency is looking for a talented, multi-skilled, mid-weight 3D designer to join their creative studio team.They work with a diverse and exciting selection of brands, global and national to create innovative experiences for roadshows, launch events, conferences, retail, promotional activations, exhibitions and hospitality promotions.

You'll have worked in experiential marketing, events or associated environmental sectors for a minimum of 3-4 years, driven by a desire to design unique environments and installations for a mix of clients and experiences, producing fresh and inspiring creative. Your core skill is responding to the creative concept developed by the lead creative team to produce environments that give the customer/visitor a rich and memorable experience.

You might come from an architectural or interior background or have specific experience in exhibition or event design, but you've always told stories to people through the activations you design and focus on experience, engagement and interaction. You enjoy developing thoughtfully detailed 3D environments in intriguing and emotive ways, whilst being attentive to the customer journey, creating unique touch points along the way.

A key role in the studio, you'll have lots of creative freedom! You'll work on multiple projects, collaborate with and brief other in-house designers, including graphic and digital as well as freelancers. You'll get support from the design & creative leads to develop existing stories or concepts and work closely with our production department. You'll create, refine and build high-quality brand activations on-budget whilst meeting tight deadlines.

Ability to put pen to paper to express your ideas to the team is a must, the ability to produce sketches to a client presentation standard would be an advantage. You'll be able to create visualisations to a good standard in Cinema 4D. You'll be a Vectorworks user to produce 2D drawing packs. Other 3D software may be considered for the right person but 2D Vectorworks skills for technical drawing is a must.

As an innovator, you're always looking at new opportunities available from the latest technology and advances in materials to create unique spaces and experiences. You must be a strong presenter, able to effectively communicate your work, ideas and concepts - with both in- house teams and potentially clients.

You need to have strong visual skills and loads of ideas! They are looking for a strong portfolio of experiential, events and exhibitions. Retail experience is a bonus. You might also have experience in conferences and hospitality. Above all you'll be someone who can bring ideas to life for a wide variety of brand activations, predominantly in experiential, event and retail situations.

Role Requirements
*A minimum of 3 years working in experiential marketing and events or a similar discipline of environmental design. Retail, hospitality, theatre, stage, etc.
*Someone who can sketch and create emotive, relevant moodboards and informative storyboards.
*Proficient in Vectorworks and Cinema4D.
*Proficient use of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a must.
*A good understanding of construction methods and materials, able to produce design intent drawings with an understanding of the practical world we are operating in.
*Ability to communicate your vision to the in-house production team.
*Understanding of design and build project structure and processes.
*Well organised, efficient and able to manage their own time (with the support of the lead creative) and that of other team members within deadlines.
*Some experience of briefing and managing a small team.
*Able to present their ideas to the team with regular critiques and development meetings. Also potential for client presentations.
*Experience of working on projects from concept design to realised environment.
