A national tourism agency, responsible for promoting a European destination worldwide and developing its visitor economy, seeks an experienced content manager to join their growing team

The brand is on an ambitious plan for its content marketing and digital platforms in 2018 through to 2020 and beyond. As the content manager you will play a key part in helping to shape and implement the content strategy and digital transformation the organisation needs to become the world leading digital tourism authority by 2020.
The content and planning team take a data-led approach to curating, co-creating, and commissioning content across channels and audiences, both internal and external, to drive engagement across the customer journey.

The Content Manager's responsibilities:
Work with the senior content and planning manager and the marketing asset manager to implement and manage process aimed at removing out of date content on consumer channels
Work with the company's international markets and other stakeholders to identify areas where existing content can be repurposed to fill gaps/take advantage of content opportunities
Where no content exists, and where appropriate, work with external stakeholders (such as other destination management organisations) to fill these gaps
Work with the senior content and planning manager, and others, to manage the implementation of a short-term content management solution
Work with the digital content executive to keep the global content calendar up-to-date

The ideal Content Manager:
Digital and content expertise, with a demonstrable understanding of how to leverage digital channels and content to enhance communications activity
Strong project management skills (preferably from working in a DSDM Agile environment) and experience in scoping, delivering and evaluating projects, end to end
Creative flair, proactively pitches new ideas, and a willingness to try new approaches and ways of thinking.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess content performance at both a macro and micro level and make recommendations accordingly
Experience working in a global matrixed organisation, working across different functions and markets
Experience of managing direct reports, and preferably external agencies/freelancers
