Copy Manager - Fashion/ Ecommerce - Watford - £50k

Job description The E-commerce Copy Manager will work within the E-commerce design team to produce engaging, creative and 'on-brand' copy to fulfil all of the copy needs of E-commerce.

Reporting to the Manager of E-commerce creative, the E-commerce Copy Manager will develop a Centre of Excellence for E-commerce copy for the growing retail brands.

Key Responsibilities

*Working closely with the Head of copy to develop the brand(s) tone of voice, specifically in its application in E-commerce.
*Create and communicate online copy guidelines to the copy team and freelance copy resources.
*Working closely with the E-commerce Design Manager to create best in-class design and copy communications.
*Accountable for the quality of copy produced by the team across all of the E-commerce applications: home pages, static content, email, customer communications and digital advertising.
*Working from a creative brief to utilise their own e-commerce copy skills to interpret, develop and deliver best in class E-commerce copy.
*To work closely with the E-commerce conversion team, brand team, product teams and acquisition /retention teams to ensure that all copy produced exceeds business expectations- creating effective copy that drive sales and customer engagement.
*Using the existing brand copy guidelines, produce e-commerce copy guidelines for all creative e-commerce copy assets such as onsite content, emails, category banners, SEO

Creative Operations

*Accountable for the definition and implementation of copy processes, ensuring that they are efficient and fully integrated into the overall creative process.
*To create accurate workload forecasts to ensure the most effective utilisation of copy resources.
*To control and monitor all copy produced so that is delivered on-time and within budget.
*To work with Manager of E-commerce Creative to establish KPI's for copy effectiveness.
*Develop test and learn strategies for copy and communications.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

*Copy professional with degree level qualifications in creative writing , journalism or communications.
*Minimum of 5 years experience of working in a lead role within an e-commerce creative team in a large retail business.
*Experience working within a design team for a high volume E-commerce retailer (fashion ideal), delivering high quality copy assets.
*Proven experience of developing and mentoring copy team members.
*Puts the brand and customer at the heart of creative copy processes.
*Ability to create and deliver to tight deadlines to ensure the timely delivery of daily, seasonal and project works.
*Experience of the end-to-end creative process from concept, UI, html and build.
*A creative thinker and idea generator with a strong creative vision.
*Some experience of working with third party agencies to deliver results
*Experience of working with task management tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, Trello, Google Doc's etc.
*Excellent command of English language and eye for detail
*Background in digital and email marketing advantageous
*Passionate interest in fashion and shopping
*Competent at using WCMS
*Can self-sub, with a meticulous eye for checking copy
