Job description Reporting into the Senior Digital Designer, this role is part of a key project team tasked with leading the digital transformation of the website. The responsibilities include supporting the build of an improved visual identity, website layout optimisation, user interaction enhancements and delivering digital marketing collateral across ecommerce touch points whilst maintaining a consistent brand design ethos.

At its core, the role will require working with different stakeholders both within the ecommerce team and the wider business to capture design requirements and confidently present deliverables and solutions under the guidance of the senior digital designer. The role also requires a level of project management and concise communication to ensure efficient throughput of all projects regardless of scale and remit.

The role will combine great design skills with creative conceptual thinking, along with commercial awareness all within a fashion retail environment.

Responsibilities:

*Responsible for the timely delivery of digital assets that allow layout, visual appearance and usability of the website to deliver both ecommerce plans and maintain consistency from a brand creative perspective.
*Work closely with the ecommerce team to create modern, customer-centric user journeys and digital experiences across all digital touch points.
*Responsible for the implementation and evolution of the brand guidelines.
*Create pixel perfect, development ready design files with detailed design specifications.
*Liaising with product teams and creative studio to manage scheduling and timings.
*Work with developers to communicate and evaluate designs through to implementation, keeping a constant and open communication channel.
*Review staging website builds from a visual perspective and clearly communicate issues to the relevant developer.
*On-going weekly website asset updates including design and project management of new season launches, content features etc.
*Work with acquisition and CRM teams to design weekly collateral for emails and any other digital initiatives across our customer base.
*Update and create native marketing assets across affiliate, display, social and other marketing channels to deliver campaign ambitions and goals.
*Participate in creative meetings, sharing ideas and concepts with the team and build strong relationship with brand creative department.
*Establish seasonal brand handwriting, tone of voice and style guide and play a key role in feeding this vision into the wider design team.
*Identify and develop the opportunities, restrictions and differences between digital devices and own the process to ensure these allow positive design decisions.
*To provide on-going site maintenance with creative ideas and concepts to drive traffic, increase engagement and improve customer journey/experience.
*Attend regular meetings with marketing and content team to discuss upcoming content, briefs, launches and collaborations and provide updates on current project progress.
*Research new trends within design and digital and implement these into design work.
*Respond to international considerations and incorporate into project briefs.
*Share a strong understanding of typography design concepts and best practice as how they apply to online.
*Protect and enhance the visual representation across the responsive elements of the website.
*Restructuring & tweaking backend transactional journeys with a strong understanding of UX and UI design.
*Incorporating any insights from the team or analytic tools to make informed decisions in relation to design.

Requirements:

*Qualification in a graphic design or related degree.
*Proven broad 3- years' experience in digital design, ideally from a fashion ecommerce background.
*Creative and self-motivated with a diverse and commercial eye for outstanding design and website usability.
*Portfolio will demonstrate ability to work across multiple digital touch points that demonstrates talent and passion for design.
*User-focused design experience with a good understanding of typography, colour and layout
*Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and browser behaviour on different devices.
*Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally within the business to ensure consistent design across all channels to market.
*Organised to allow reactive and flexible requirements to be delivered and to adjust for conflicting workloads and priorities.
