Job description My client are looking for a Front-End Developer to join the team. You'll be working collaboratively as part of the Online Content team to design and implement HTML solutions for Online. They are looking for a web developer to join the growing Online team and be involved in the implementation of accessible and hand-coded designs and bespoke pages across the Desktop and Mobile platforms.

As a Front-End Developer you will work according to the latest W3C specifications and recommendations and make full use of the latest CSS technology. You will work closely with the Online Design team to produce and execute creative designs which are delivered on-brand and fully optimised for the desktop and mobile audiences.

* Significant experience as a Front-end Developer within a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
* Confident working to strict deadlines as part of a fast-moving e-commerce team, while having the ability to
adapt quickly to changing priorities.
* Experience of working cross-functionally across digital development and UX teams
* Strong Knowledge of current web best practices, usability guidelines and accessibility requirements.
* Can easily participate in technical discussions around website implementation tools (e.g. test environments,
CMS, UX and UI) and to be actively driving development initiatives and opportunities
* An expert understanding and experience of HTML, CSS, jQuery.
* Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
* Strong team player
* Expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and code to W3C standards.
* Good knowledge of user experience and accessibility best practises
* Knowledge of fundamental SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
* Excellent knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and their resolution.
* Excellent knowledge of responsive frameworks
* Familiarity working in both Windows and Mac environments.
* Work closely to the online content and launch plan to prioritise workload and deadlines
* Work closely with the Online design team to understand the priorities and on-going status of the design workload and design briefs
* To be accountable for the implementation of accessible and hand-coded design pages
* To code all pages responsively to be suitable for execution across all platforms
* To work closely with the Online Trading & wider Content team to ensure the business commercial targets are achieved
